We are in the kitchen! There's cutting, chopping and stirring going on in our gluten free, dairy free and pork-free kitchen. Why do we focus on allergen-free? Our fearless leader has a unique and complicated disease--but it is not celiac. "Huh???" you may say. It's true!

Celiac disease has been so important to understanding food and allergens. Celiac is an immune reaction to eating gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley and rye. The University of Chicago reports, "Celiac disease affects 1% of healthy, average Americans. That means at least 3 million people in our country are living with celiac disease—97% of them are undiagnosed. Type 1 Diabetes affects 3 million people; 6% (180,000) of those diagnosed also have celiac disease." However there are a myriad of allergenic reactions, inflammations and other diseases related to our intake of gluten, dairy and other allergenic foods.

For us, it's not Celiac but something else....We're gluten free, dairy free... yes, and it's for life. Our Chef and founder has a 'no cause, no cure' disease. At Momma’s Gluten Free we are battling food with food and winning. Perhaps our story is unlike yours or you have the same battle. Just know, our 20+ years of allergen-free eating has been the key towards victory over disease. Now we're cooking and we're sharing!

Over a series of blogs, we will share our stories, experiences and amazing recipes. We know you'll fall in love with our prepared gluten free, dairy free and pork free frozen meals too.
